Salaam,

I think its high time we had some healthier food at happy hour- so from next year can whoever is in charge of getting the happy hour food bring fruits rather than crisps.

All of yous lots agrees right?

btw we need to get all the brothers on this forum- cos tbh i think the emails prob work better.

Isn't this something the Sisters should be worrying about? Us men should not have to worry about such matters, we can burn the fat during isoc football. Laughing

Anyhow jokes aside, as the resident Medic I have to agree that fruit would be a healthier alternative. However I'm not sure how well it would go down with the rest of the brothers. People love junk food.

We could however run an experiment, for example- buy some health food (fruits, etc) and some junk food (crisps, chocolates, etc) and see how much of each gets eaten.

Healthy food costs more money. So firstly, take that into account. Last year some brothers were handling the happy hour, with their own funds. I think it should stay that way this year as well. It allows others to contribute and builds on the notion of brotherhood.

Also note that food is not supposed to be the main point of happy hour. The point is to get the brothers together and spend some time together informally. The food/snacks are a complement to the occasion.

Yes healthier food would be better, however I don't think it's that big an issue.

Maybe we can talk about what activities we can actually have during happy hour. Kabaddi tournament anyone?
